Route Settings

Settings in the “Trips” subsection

The “Trips” subsection in the settings includes three entries. All three entries are parameters for correctly deciding whether to save a waypoint, because Paotre has an algorithm that strategically intelligently sets waypoints at such positions that are particularly relevant for recording. These are, for example, course changes.

  • Course precision: By course precision is meant that all waypoints are discarded whose courses are within this predefined threshold relative to the predecessor.
  • Highest WP distance: The highest distance between two stored waypoints.
  • Location update distance: The distance your boat can move before your location is updated and a new decision to save a new waypoint is made.
